Contents. Technology In order to play WildTangent games, the user would have to install WildTangent Web Driver and Microsoft Java Virtual Machine. Java would need to be uninstalled in case it blocks these games from running. The games had online and offline versions, but the online versions no longer function. The reason they discontinued their games is unknown. However, they were criticized because their games contain spyware and required anybody to constantly buy more WildCoins. Most of WildTangent games were all stored in GIT type system/source safe so no one needed personal copies.
Availability of Games Most discontinued WildTangent games are no longer available for purchase, but some can still be downloaded from other distributors or anybody who has the installer backed up. The list of games that are lost and found can be viewed below.
Becca to be more exact simly central uses a still of trogan that places a cookie to allow it to hijack your computer. It is very very bad news, you are now going to have to edit your registry, i would advise you to install spybot s&d, it can be found at www.cnet.com afteryou down load it and update, then run spybot i would bet a bottom dollar that now you have a dso exploit issue. If you do, you need to click on the plus sign next to DSO EXPLOIT, then print the results.
Here are the instructions on how to remove from the rgistry: step one: print your spybot s&d report, locate the the dso, mine was: HKEYUSERS S-1-5-7543-500 Software Microsoft Windows Current Version Internet Settings Zones 0 1004!=w=3 click on start, run, and type in REGEDIT and press ENTER to open the windows registry editor find the location of the exploit in the reg. By clicking on the pluses(+) next to each title after opening the Zones section and clicking on '0' look to the right window, under name is the key '1004'and the type is 'REGSZ' simply right click nad delete the REGSZ value.
Then tight click on any open space in the window and create a new-DWORD Value for the key(in this case 1004), then right click on 1004 and click on MODIFY make sure the hexamil box has a dot in it change the hex to '3' close the reg. And reboot your computer the dso exploit should now be removed and it should no longer appear in the spybot search and distroy log as a problem. Remember however that this will need to be done for all your exploits. It worked for me and i assume no responsibilty for anyone who might mess up their REG.
Good luck and happy new years, if still in doubt do a google search under DSO exploits becca if you have any problems please feel free to contact me at [email protected]. Good luck and happy new year.
Well roddy, im not one to argue, however i had to fix a buds computer at 7 pm last night, i downloaded spybot last night and did the update, it still did not fix it, i was just letting her know how to fix it herself, afterall if you remove it yourself you know its gone, i also read that xp ser pack 2 states that although the dso exploit is there that its really not there, if your viruses are up to date and you have the sp2 updated, i think it was@ microsoft.com is where io read it. Food for thought. I don't know why the fix didn't work for you, it does for most people. Your advice is very good but I try never to tell people to go into the registry unless they are comfortable in doing that and also know how to make a backup of the registry. For the same reason, I don't tell people to use HijackThis unless they are going to a HijackThis Forum. Either of those things can cause damage unless used by an experienced person and there are too many people that DON'T follow directions LOL. BTW, Spybot has a new version 1.4 but it's a Beta but I would imagine the final should be out soon so keep an eye out for the notice in the virus and securities forum.
Happy New Year. By the way roody this is why i went in myself: Value: type Description StartPage: REGSZ The URL for the default homepage, specified by LOCSTARTPAGE. SearchPage: REGSZ The URL for the default browser search page, specified by LOCSEARCHPAGE. SearchURL: REGSZ The default search URL, specified by LOCSEARCHURL. UseProxy: REGDWORD If value is set to 1, the browser accesses the Internet through the proxy server.
ProxyServer: REGSZ Set to name of the proxy server. ProxyHttpPort: REGDWORD Default setting is 80.
Set to HTTP port number. It was only to explain how i fixed mine, by all means if she isnt comf. With the regedit, dont do it, fear is the reason most people dont learn, sometimnes you learn through trial and error, i usually learn the better approach after ui make the mistake.
